Pi Day Poster Winner

I had my students make posters for Pi Day since it is coming up in a couple weeks. Most students did pictures of pie with some numbers written on it. This is one below is the definite winner. It is mathematically accurate by saying pi never ends, and it is hilarious. Unfortunately, the pi-eater is supposed to be me but the student assured me I'm not really that fat, it's just because of all the pies I have eaten.

Failed Test = Nice Drawings

I gave a test in one of my class today. These pictures filled up an otherwise blank page of the test. The student failed but the pictures are pretty creative.

Student Drawings Vol. 3

Ok. So I promise I won't always have so many pictures to post, but I just keep finding them. And to be fair, some of these are from another teacher. Enjoy.

This picture is pretty great. Especially because it is exactly how teachers teach. Not.

This student draws pictures that look like they'd be on The Simpsons.

This is kind of difficult to see. It was drawn on one of my desks today. I think the right-hand picture originated as a penis and then someone turned it into eyes a nose. It also says "poop eater". So, yeah.

A very talented student who really enjoys John Lennon and the Beatles has drawn several pictures related to Beatles songs.

RAPTOR BEAR!!!!!!!!!

I think this picture has lyrics to a Beatles song in it, but it is difficult to read on here.

I love the detail on this guy's awful, awful teeth.

That is all.

Student Drawings Vol. 2

Here is another large batch of drawings. They won't normally have this many, but I've been saving some up for awhile. Enjoy.

This is a series of three pictures. A student did not feel like taking his test and so he wrote me a nice message. Despite his nice comment, he failed.

I don't know what it is about my face, but I feel like this picture is actually pretty accurate.

This is another blank test that came with a sweet drawing of what I think is an angry tree.

Some of Newark's finest Juggalo artwork.

I think this one might be my favorite. The same student who drew this also draws a pretty nice raptor-bear.

A nice waterfall.

I really like how small the T-Rex's arms are.

This is a drawing one of my students drew during my student teaching at Westerville. My mentor teacher had them spray paint it on his wall, it was awesome.

Loooooooooooong cat.

I found these today in a stack under someone's desk. Yeah.

So we watched a movie called Donald in Mathmagicland in which they taught us about the golden rectangle and how awesome it was. Apparently this is how a student portrayed the rectangle. The crying triangle is great.

A duck, drawn during the same movie.

I'm not sure. Maybe a smiley face award?

With Pi Day coming up in a few weeks, I had students make posters.

I might get this one made into a t-shirt.

Once I get the student to finish coloring this in, I will save it for sure.

Student Drawings Vol. 1

I have been gathering student drawings for the past several months. These drawings appear on tests, homeworks, desks, whiteboards, chalkboards, etc. I don't necessarily condone these doodles, but they are very talented and interesting nonetheless. This first post will have several drawings and I will try to keep the site updated as I discover more.

Portrait of me. Honestly, it is pretty accurate.

Another portrait of me. Much more flattering. Much less realistic.

A talented graffito of my name.

I have no idea. But the man has a point.
A nice and friendly wildcat. With very threatening claws.

An elf.

A pretty realistic portrait of another teacher.

I think this is a dinosaur.

I think this man is breathing fire onto the test question.

It is not.

A crying, tentacled-creature.

Drawn the other day by a student hoping for spring.
